History of Frank's Den

The property was originally owned by Ms. Hittle. Ms Hittle sold the property to the next owner, Frank Mewshaw and named it "Franks Place" in 1956. Frank Mewshaw turned the property into a bar. In 1958, Frank Phillips purchased the bar with money he borrowed from his father. Frank Phillips changed the name from Frank's Place to "Frank's Den". Frank ran the bar until 1975 when his son, Greg, convinced him to add a deli, which became known as "Frank's Wine and Cheese". This is the first time for "Frank's Den" to have father and son working side by side. In 2007, Frank Phillips son and grandson, Gregory, work together and are running the local bar and liquor store.
